Bachelor of Interior Design

The coursework is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to become successful interior designers. The program is structured over a period of four years, divided into eight semesters. It offers a well-rounded curriculum that includes theoretical subjects, design-based studios, practical training, and research projects.

The program focuses on the interdisciplinary model of education, which integrates knowledge from various related fields such as art, product design, and graphic design, among others. This approach helps students develop a higher degree of sensitivity towards various aspects of design and its representation

The Studio based Pedagogy used in the program is aimed at stimulating creativity and ambition in students. It encourages students to engage in dialogue with the design process and explore the technical subjects to realize and express their creativity. The program also emphasizes the importance of practical exposure and site visits. Through related study programs and site visits, students get an in-depth exposure to practical realities such as building materials, manufacturing processes, and applications.

The Bachelor of Interior Design program at Dr. H M Patel School of Interior Design provides students with a >comprehensive education that integrates cutting-edge technology and knowledge.Upon completion of the program, graduates will have developed a deep understanding of the ever-changing relationships between people, places, activities, culture, and economic status. They will be able to create impactful and distinctive spaces that meet the functional, aesthetic, and emotional needs of their clients.It prepares students to become holistic designers who can make a meaningful contribution to the field of interior design.
